The homegrown app has been developed by Kiran.Kollam: Attention homemakers in the city! Gone are the days when you had to brave the crowded streets and scorching sun to forage for the kitchen supplies. You only need a smart phone to grab your orders.
Just download an app, Brands 2 Home, from the Google Playstore, place your order and just wait for the consignment to reach your doorsteps. You can order groceries, meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, baked goods or whatever that comes to your mind.
The homegrown app has been developed by Kiran, a resident of K B Nagar near Thekkevila in Kollam. The technology professional has quit his job in a company in Technopark Thiruvananthapuram and an opportunity to work abroad to put his skills to use for the community.
He said that he had spent five months on the innovative app which made its debut during Onam last year. He is helped by Akhil in delivery-related issues.
The app is currently used by shoppers to order stuff from Dhanya Supermarket, Supreme Bakery and Greeshma Store. Kiran plans to offer the app in Apple Store too.
A customer can place his order any time of the day. The goods will be delivered between 9.30 am and 11.30 am or 4 pm and 7 pm.
