Roopesh enacts Aadu Thoma’s iconic ‘mundu’ scene in 'Angarajyathile Jimmanmar' Roopesh Peethambaran plays one of the lead characters in the upcoming film, 'Angarajyathile Jimmanmar'.

Malayali movie lovers cannot easily forget the super hit film Spadikam starring Mohanlal and his iconic character Aadu Thoma. The character's signature act in a fight sequence where he removes his mundu (dhoti) to use it as a ‘weapon,’is ingrained in the minds of Mohanlal fans.

Actor – director Roopesh Peethamabaran who essayed the young Thoma in Spadikam years ago, is back to thrill his fans by emoting Malayali’s one of the most beloved character in the upcoming flick Angarajyathile Jimmanmar.

In the newly released teaser of Angarajyathile Jimmanmar, Roopesh is seen playing the role from Spadikam which has long since gained a cult status among Mohanlal fans.

Sharing the teaser of his movie on his Facebook page, Roopesh Peethambaran wrote, “Spadikam has always been a part of my life, when I got a chance to replay this sequence in Angarajyathile Jimmanmar I felt honored in every way. I know that I can never catch up with what our Lalettan did. Not even in my next 7 births.”

Angarajyathile Jimmanmar is written and directed by debutant Praveen Narayanan. Roopesh Peethambaran plays one of the lead roles in the movie which also features Sudev Nair, Rony David Raj, Rajeev Pillai and Shankar Induchoodan.

Recently, actor Kunchacko Boban and director Anil Radhakrishna Menon had jointly announced the movie.
