Suzanne Bernert to play Sonia in Manmohan biopic When Suzanne shared her pictures as Sonia Gandhi through the social media it went viral within minutes.

The first look of The Accidental Prime Minister, the biopic on former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh came out recently and it created quite a buzz in the social media.

Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher essays the role of the former PM, while German actress Suzanne Bernert has been roped in to play the role of Sonia Gandhi, former chairperson of the Congress party.

The 35-year-old actress, who is fluent in Hindi, Marati and Bengali, has acted in many Indian movies and TV shows.

Suzanne shared her pictures as Sonia Gandhi through the social media and the pictures went viral within minutes.

'The Accidental Prime Minister' is based on Sanjay Baru’s bestselling book of the same name. In the movie Bollywood actor Akshaye Khanna essays the role of Sanjay Baru, while Aahana Kumra will play Priyanka Gandhi.

The film is directed by Vijay Gutte, while the screenplay is penned by Hansal Mehta.

The filming of the movie is progressing in London and it is expected to hit the screens on December 21.
