Mollywood celebrity couple Biju Menon and Samyukta Verma is considered as the one of the ideal couples in the Malayalam film industry. The duo recently appeared at an award function in UK.
As Menon went on the stage to receive an award, the anchor of the show asked about falling in love with actress Samyukta. Menon laughed away and jokingly he said, “Oru doorantham aarunu” which literally translates as “a big disaster”.
As audience were eagerly waiting to listen more, Menon said, “Jokes apart, Samyuktha is my pillar of strength and she is the backbone of the family. It was I who approached and proposed to her.”
The actor stated that he has a huge admiration for his wife, for her extreme dedication towards the family.
Biju and Samyukta a had paired-up in the acclaimed movies Mazha, Madhuranombarakkattu and Meghamalhar. Biju and Samyuktha fell in love during the filming of Mazha and got married immediately after the release of Meghamalhar, with the blessings of both families.
Earlier, in an interview Menon had said that he is totally supportive for his wife's comeback and it was Samyuktha's decision to retire from acting post marriage.
