Actor-MLA Mukesh has refused to comment on the controversy surrounding the resignation of a few actors from industry body, AMMA. Speaking to reporters at Kollam, the Kollam legislator said that if he needs to speak to his party regarding the happenings in AMMA he will do so in the party.
Making fun of media, he said if reporters are desperate he is ready to speak about 'a tray of vegetables for Onam' project. He said he was also ready to speak about his constituency.
Reporters were seeking the reaction of Mukesh over the decision to reinstate actor Dileep into the actors’ association despite being accused in plotting an attack of an actor, and the resignation of four female actors.
The actors’ association comprises three people’s representatives belonging to the Left Front, but the CPM is yet to speak on the issue.
Fisheries minister J Mercykutty Amma had asked LDF leaders in AMMA to make their stand clear. She had said that people's representatives have the responsibility to implement the party's policy of protecting women.
