The theme music of Nivin Pauly's most anticipated movie of the year, Richie, has been released. The music of the film, which is based on Kannada film Ulidvaru Kandanthe directed by Rakshit Shetty, is by B Ajaneesh Loknath.
Loknath was also the music director for Ulidvaru Kandanthe, which was a sensational hit in Kannada.
Richie is expected hit the screen on December 8. Apart from Nivin Pauly, the film will feature Natarajan Subramaniam, Ashok Selvan, Shraddha Srinath and Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli in the lead roles.
Gautham Ramachandran, the director, who worked on the script had made 40 drafts to change the original screenplay to fit in with the Tamil environs.
The noir film will be a huge challenge for Nivin Pauly as he will have to match or go beyond the blitzkrieg performance of Rakshit Shetty in the original version, which was a commercial success as well.
The film was first titled Santa Maria and later changed to Avargal. The makers eventually settled on the title Richie.
