Kochi: Fearing an attack anytime, Jisha had always carried a pen camera in her dress, according to activists of a women’s organisation, who visited her house at Kuruppumpadi.

The suppressed Dalit family, which resided in a piece of puramboke (unused revenue land) shack, seldom received any support from the society, said Adv T. B. Mini. The activists felt as if the family was scared of someone. The neighbours never interacted with the family.
The organisation accused that the police destroyed chances of further probe by cremating the body.
