Kakkanad: The Kerala police team probing the sensational actress attack case on Friday conducted searches at the office of 'Laksyah,' an online textile shop owned by actress Kavya Madhavan, at Mavelipuram in Kochi.
The raid, conducted with utmost secrecy, started at 11am and went on for three hours.
There was a mention of a 'shop in Kakkanad' in a letter purportedly written by prime accused Pulsar Suni to actor Dileep in a bid to 'blackmail him and extort money.' The letter mentioned that he visited the 'shop in Kakkanad' twice. Suni had given details about the shop to the police.
Suni had told the police that he visited the shop before going into hiding a day after the assault on the actress on February 17.
He told the officers that he could not find Dileep at the office as he was away in Aluva. Investigators had also quizzed Dileep about it the other day.
The police checked details of cash transactions at the shop as well as computer data.
The investigation was led by a circle inspector, who is part of the team that is probing the abduction and harassment of the young actress in a moving car in Kochi.
