A crucial witness in actress attack caseKochi: A day after Malayalam movie actor Dileep was arrested for plotting the attack on an actress on a highway near Kochi, more revelations tumbled out.
Dileep’s brother Anoop and another man rushed into the actor’s house around 8 pm on February 17, around the same time the actress was waylaid and tortured inside her car, a neighbor told Manorama News.
The neighbor said there was an unrelated commotion in front of the actor’s house that night but Anoop and his companion were too occupied to notice it.
“A woman had walked on to the foot over bridge near the Aluva temple and threatened to commit suicide. Her husband followed her and beat her up. She fled the scene but the couple continued fighting in front of Dileep’s house.
“Just then, Dileep’s brother Anoop and another man drove their car past us in high speed. They did not even stop to see what was happening in front of their own house. I had some doubts when we heard the news of the attack on the actress the next morning.”
