People had alerted the police after a headless body was found by the roadside in Manganam Sunday.The body was recovered from a canal by the roadside. While they were cleaning the area, the residents found the legs of the body from one sack. They then informed the police, who located another sack with the rest of the body parts. The police combed the area to find the severed head, but to no avail.
The blood-chilling incident sent shock-waves across the region, and scores of anxious people turned up in the area. The police have recovered a shirt and saffron mundu. The body has been shifted to a hospital.
