Dileep was being questioned by top police officers. File PhotoAluva: Actor Dileep, accused in the Febrauary 17 actress attack case, was again summoned for questioning at Aluva Police Club on Wednesday, Manorama News reported. He was being questioned by an investigation team led by sub-inspector Biju Paulose.
Dileep had earlier given a statement that he was hospitalized on the fateful night. It is learnt that the police are trying to establish that the actor was lying. He was asked to present before the investigation team to verify Dileep's statements.
The interrogation takes place as the police are at the final stage of the preparation of the charge sheet.
Dileep walked out of the jail on October 3 after the Kerala High Court granted him bail on stringent conditions. The court had directed the actor to deposit his passport with the registry, pay up Rs 1 lakh as surety and produce two personal sureties to secure bail. The court had also observed that the accused should in no way try to influence witnesses or others involved in the case.
The police had earlier claimed that the conspiracy to abduct and assault the actress in a moving car and videotape the act was hatched by Dileep. Six people, including prime accused Pulsar Suni, were arrested in connection with the actress abduction case.
The actress, who has worked in Tamil and Telugu films, was abducted and assaulted in her car on the night of February 17 .
