Twist in Kuttipuram bobbitisation case: Injured man & accused woman want to live together Representational image

Kochi: The man and woman involved in a case of bobbitisation at a hotel in Kuttipuram, Malappuram, have decided to live together.

The incident happened on September 21 when the Purathur native got injured. The woman, who was with him in the hotel, had then said that she cut off the man's genital as he had cheated her after promising to marry her. The woman was arrested.

However, once she was out on bail she filed a habeas corpus petition, citing that her husband was under the house arrest of his family members.

The woman on Friday told a court that their wedding was on April 12 but as relatives didn't allow them to live together she tried to cut her veins and commit suicide. The man tried to stop this and he accidentally injured his genitals, she added.

The man used to call her on phone till November 6, and after that there was no information regarding him, she told the court.

When the court asked the man what had happened, he said it was an accidental injury. He also said that he wanted to go with the woman.

A case was filed against her by the man's father and brother.
