Kottayam: The postal department has released a special cover commemorating the 70th anniversary of the rebirth of Malayala Manorama after it was shut down by the diwan for taking part in the Thiruvithamkoor responsible government protests.
At a function held at the Malayala Manorama office in Kottayam, postal division senior superintendent Alexin George unveiled the cover by presenting it to Manorama managing editor Jacob Mathew.
Closed in 1938, Manorama was relaunched after nine years in 1947.
