Kottayam: With the UAE government’s new immigration policy rules making good conduct and police clearance certificates mandatory, Kerala police have initiated measures to issue these legal documents to eligible persons without undue delay.
While verification and issue of the conduct certificate will be carried out by tahsildars, district police chiefs are authorized to issue the police clearance certificate.
In order to expedite processing of applications for these certificates, express counters have been set up at every district police office (DPO).
Application procedures
• The prescribed application forms can be obtained from the District Special Branch office.
• Filled-in forms can be submitted between 10 am and 3 pm on working days.
• The applicants should be permanent residents within the jurisdiction of the district police administration.
• If an individual is not able to submit the application directly, he/she can do it through parents, siblings or close relatives.
• The date of issuance of certificate will be notified on the date of submission.

• Fill-in details in the prescribed format in English using capital letters only.
Documents required
• The application should be submitted along with a copy of the visa, offer letter, and the original or e-mail copy of the letter of request from his/her local sponsor or the requesting embassy.
• The application fee is Rs 1,000
• Five passport-size color photos, that should be less than six months old, should also be submitted. Each photograph should bear the applicant’s signature and the date the photo was taken at the bottom.
• Copies of identity cards (self-attested) such as passport, Aadhaar card or voter’s identity card should also be submitted.
• Three copies of the filled-in application form with photos attached are also required.
