Thiruvananthapuram: The Cyber Crime police have registered a case regarding the alleged leak of higher secondary plus two Physics question paper and started an investigation.
Director of higher secondary education K Sudhir Babu said that the exam would be cancelled and a retest ordered by Friday if the complaint regarding the leak proved to be true.
The Physics exam was held on Wednesday. A complaint was registered after the Thrissur district co-ordinator of the exam received images of the question paper through WhatsApp.
The co-ordinator brought the matter to the attention of joint director of higher secondary education K Imbichikoya for further action.
The WhatsApp image showed a handwritten copy of the question paper. It was alleged that the questions were similar to those of a model exam conducted by some private tuition centres in Malabar area. Following which, the higher secondary director filed a complaint with the state police chief seeking a probe into the matter.
State police chief Loknath Behera said that the investigation would be carried out on an urgent basis and the culprits brought to book.
