Pathanamthitta: Mizoram governor Kummanam Rajasekharan paid obeisance at the Parthasarathy Temple at Aranmula on Saturday.

BJP leader B Radhakrishna Menon and others received the dignitary at the temple.

Later, Kummanam met Rev Dr Philipose Mar Chrysostom, the senior Metropolitan of the Mar Thoma Church, at Maramon. Both held talks for 30 minutes. The governor handed over a shawl used by Mizo tribals to the Metropolitan.

The Metropolitan noted that Kummanam was indeed lucky to become the governor. Kummanan invited the Metropolitan to be the chief guest at the Independence Day celebrations to be held in Mizoram.
