Kochi: Kerala Blasters have roped in Ghanaian midfielder Courage Pekuson for the upcoming edition of the Indian Super League (ISL).
Pekuson joins Iain Hume as the second foreign player to be signed by Blasters for the fourth edition of the ISL.
The 22-year-old last played at Slovenian club FC Koper and was also a member of the Ghana Under-23 squad.
Blasters are likely to employ him on the left wing as crowd favorite Spaniard Josu will be missing in action.
Blasters' new coach Rene Meulensteen had said that the focus will be on signing fit, young foreign players and not veterans this time around.
Blasters, co-owned by cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, fell at the final hurdle last season as they lost to Atletico de Kolkata on penalties. The Kochi side has made it to the finals twice and finished rock bottom in the second edition in 2015.
