Sandeep informed the police that he was attacked in the morning. The police reached the spot and took him to Kottarakara taluk hospital for treatment, ADGP M R Ajit Kumar said.
She expressed shock over the incident which took place amid the security of the police.
Police claimed that they took Sandeep for treatment not as an accused but as an injured person.

Those arrested are Nandu of Payikuzhi, Ochira; Shan of Shihaz Manzil, Krishnapuram and Ajay of Valiyakulangara, Ochira.
