The first allotment list for admission to higher secondary Plus-One (Class X1) courses in schools following the Kerala state syllabus has been published. Among the 4,71849 applicants, around 2,38,150 candidates have been included in the list.
Admissions would take place based on the first allotment list from 11 am on Friday to 5 pm next Wednesday (August 10). Candidates who have received their first option itself as allotment can secure permanent admission and others who were allotted their lower options can take temporary admission.
The applicants can check and edit details like name, date of birth, G – pat details, nativity, community based reservation, EWS reservation and fees. They can raise complaints regarding the profile and make necessary changes in the applications until 4 pm on 6 August.
Higher secondary Plus-One classes in Kerala will begin on August 25, General Education Minister V Sivankutty announced on Wednesday. The admission procedures will commence on August 5, the Minister informed.
The second phase of Common University Entrance Test (CUET) examination that has to be cleared by the candidates to seek admission to under-graduate (UG) courses in colleges is scheduled to begin from August 4. This year it has been made mandatory to clear the CUET exam for seeking admission in colleges affiliated to central universities.
The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a national-level entrance test for admission to the various post-graduate/MBA/Fellow (PhD) programmes at the Indian Institute of Managements (IIMs). The computer-based test for admissions to the 2022-23 academic year will be held in three sessions in the morning, afternoon and evening on 27 November.
The NMC had issued the order regarding charging government fees for 50% medical seats on 3 February. The Commission has explained that this guideline is applicable not just for the MBBS seats but for the post-graduate courses too.
General candidates should have passed Plus-Two exams with at least 45% marks to be eligible to apply for the five-year Integrated LLB course. However, the cut-off marks are 42% for backward and 40% for scheduled categories.
Among the total 4.71 lakh applicants, around 3 lakh are yet to check the allotment list and make changes, if any.
The government hopes that there won’t be any shortage of seats, like last year, as additional seats have been allowed well in advance in all the districts, except in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam and Idukki.
