The incident occurred late night on October 28 at Anjootambalam Veererkavu temple near Neeleswaram when firecrackers stored in the vicinity exploded.
Ratheesh was receiving treatment on ventilator support at MIMS Hospital in Calicut due to burns that covered over 60% of his body.
The accused are temple committee president P K Chandrasekharan, secretary K T Bharatan, and P Rajesh.
The deceased, Sandeep (38), was a native of Kinavoor in Choyamkode.
According to the FIR, the accused conducted fireworks without complying with safety norms and guidelines and did not obtain a permit.
Priyesh and his cousins who were standing near the shed had moved to the opposite end barely minutes before the crackers stored inside the shed exploded.
Initial reports indicate that sparks from the fireworks display ignited the crackers in the storehouse (kamba pura).
The vehicle was completely damaged in the fire, the reason for which is yet to be ascertained.
The passengers were all residents of Valayam, near Nadapuram in Kozhikode.
Villagers said the girl had been missing since Friday evening, and the police "did not act on their complaint immediately".
