Jimmy George remembered

Jimmy George, who was the general secretary of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the chairman of Kerala Electrical & Allied Engineering Co. Ltd (KEL) was remembered by his friends and colleagues on his first death anniversary observations here at Kottayam on Saturday, January 27.

In a commemoration meeting held at his house near Kollad, prominent political figures from the state shared their memories about  him. Attending the event, NCP National Secretary and State Acting President T P Peethambaran Master said Jimmy George's absence put the party through a hard time. The current crisis situation the party has been going through could have been managed better if Jimmy George was there, he added.

Former Supreme Court judge Justice K. T. Thomas, former MLA V. N. Vasavan, ex MP Thomas Kuthiravattam, ex MP Vakkachan Mattathil, Gokulam Group of Companies Operations Director V.C. Praveen, KEL Chairman Adv Ravikumar and Nationalist Youth Congress President Shenin Mannirad were also present at the meeting.

Jimmy George's Perincheril family members, his wife Sheeba, son Ajish Jimmy George and daughter Anjana Jimmy George also offered tributes to the late politician.
