Jayaprakash Radhakrishnan's Malayalam movie Lens, which made waves in Mollywood, is all set for its Tamil release and the trailer is already out.
The Tamil trailer, which was released on Sunday, has been widely applauded by viewers and celebs, including director Karthik Subbaraj. The trailer has already got over 1 lakh views on YouTube.
The low-budget movie, which would have otherwise gone unnoticed, became a talking point among cinephiles in Kerala after actors such as Nivin Pauly and Vineeth Sreenivasan applauded the film’s novel theme and treatment via Facebook. The film was also featured at some film festivals.
It was Lal Jose who distributed the movie in Kerala, under his production banner LJ Films Pvt. Ltd. Lens will be distributed in Tamil by director Vetri Maaran’s Grass Root Film Company.
The production company's previous works include Kodi, Visaaranai and Kaakka Muttai.
The film, written and directed by Jayaprakash Radhakrishnan, talks about the dark sides of the Internet.
The cinematography and music department have been handled by S.R. Kathir and G.V. Prakash Kumar, respectively.
