Malayalam actor and mimicry artist Sajan Palluruthy on Monday was shocked to hear his 'death news'. Reports about Sajan Palluruthy's death were doing the rounds on social media groups along with his photo.
Mimicry and dubbing artist Kalabhavan Sajan had died earlier in Thiruvananthapuram, following liver-related ailments. But the photo that was circulated with the news was that of Sajan Palluruthy. It was the similarity in the name that led to the mix-up.
Even as the fake news went viral on online media, Sajan Palluruthy came forward to give an explanation on Facebook.

Sajan posted the explanatory video with a note: 'It would be fair if one tries to know the truth behind the news one attempts to share'.
"The news was spread along with my photo. No one should believe it. I have come live on Facebook as I received phone calls from everywhere enquiring about the news. I am at a shooting location. Please don't spread false news," Sajan appealed in the video.
