Manya: away from the limelight, but never forgotten Manya with Manju Warrier and Geethu Mohandas.

Mollywood is a place where actresses make debuts and exits together at the same time. Directors bring in new faces to lend freshness to the reel and they fade into oblivion after just a handful of movies.

For the same reason, most Mollywood actresses bid goodbye to the film industry after their marriage. Perhaps they consider the ‘married tag’ detrimental to their career in an industry where superstars love to romance kids half their age.

Once a popular name in Mollywood, actress Manya too chose to stay away from the limelight after her marriage. Although we were reminded of the dove-eyed beauty every now and then, thanks to movie telecasts by different channels, none knew where the pretty actress had disappeared.

But recently, the actress was spotted at the second edition of the North American Film Awards (NAFA), which was held in New York. The actress had a reunion with her old buddies and stars, including Manju Warrier and Geethu Mohandas, and their photos from the show went viral on social media.

Manya is married to Satya Patel and they are currently settled in the US. The couple has a daughter named Omishka.
