Omar Lulu, director of the film Chunks, has been removed from the Facebook group called ‘Cinema Paradiso’ for reportedly posting a comment which appeared to be profane.
Omar’s comment, while answering woman who reacted to another user who criticized his movie, was met with the wrath of the group members.
It all started when Omar announced the news of the DVD release of his adult comedy, Chunks. A user named Manu Varghese posted a comment, ‘whether it would be worth to watch it’. Abirami Ami, another user, posted ‘poli’ (superb) below Varghese’s comment which meant that she agreed with him.
But Omar's reaction to Abirami's comment using the term 'polichathu' with an intended pun was something which appeared to be derogatory and that had irked the group members.
The members and many users came down heavily on Omar for his insensitive comments which prompted the director to apologize swiftly.
Abirami had said that she would take the legal course if Omar did not apologize to her.

Omar's reaction to a fan's comment using a term with an intended pun had triggered the row.
