The fans were thrilled to see Dulquer in this new avatar and they were convinced that no other actor could pull off the role of ‘Kadhal Mannan (king of romance)’ Gemini Ganesan so perfectly.When Malayali heart throb Dulquer Salmaan appeared on the sets of ‘Nadikar Thilakam,' a biopic on the yesteryear matinee idol Gemini Ganesan even the director of the movie couldn’t believe his eyes.
The Solo actor in pristine white suit and pants, retro hairstyle and the trademark slim mustache truly resembled Ganeshan.

Nadikar Thilakam directed by Nag Aswin will be made in both Tamil and Telugu. Keerthi Suresh will be essaying the role of yesteryear actress Savitri, Ganesan's wife.
It is also reported that southern diva Samantha too would be seen in a significant role in the film. Keerthy who is basking in the glory of her latest release Thaanaa Serndha Koottam starring Suriya is equally excited to portray the life of Savitri on screen.
The movie is expected to hit the theaters on 29th March. This film will also mark Dulquar Salmaan’s entry into the Telugu film industry. Earlier, the dubbed version of Dulquer’s Malayalam flick Kali was well received by the Telugu audience.
Nag Aswin directs the movie in both the languages and the film is produced jointly by Vyjayanthi movies and Swapna cinema.
