Jeevitha (R) said that she didn’t understand what Sri Reddy’s real issue was.Casting couch controversies have recently rocked Tollywood with actress Sri Reddy making allegations against many popular stars. Telugu super star Dr. Rajasekhar and his wife Jeevitha are the latest actors to join the controversy with the latter hitting back against social activist Sandhya in a presser.
Sandhya had made some serious allegations against the couple accusing Jeevitha of recruiting young girls to sleep with her husband and actor Dr Rajasekhar. Jeevitha had swiftly retaliated by filing a defamation case against activist Sandhya.
However, in the press meet, Jeevitha was eager to make allegations against Telugu actress Sri Reddy who found herself in the eye of the storm after she opened up about the casting couch in Telugu cinema.
Jeevitha said that she didn’t understand what Sri Reddy’s real issue was. In an unexpected move, Jeevitha even leaked Sri Reddy’s personal videos to the media. In one of the videos, Sri Reddy is seen saying that she was in a sexy mood for 24 hours a day. Jeevitha accused that Sri Reddy could be seen indulging in phone sex in a video she had leaked.
The star wife asked whether anybody could say that Sri Reddy has been abused, after seeing her personal videos and her latest stunts to grab attention, referring to Sri Reddy’s recent protest in front of the Telugu Film Chambers of Commerce by stripping.
Earlier, activist Sandhya had accused that Jeevitha had tempted and intimidated young college girls to force them into sleeping with Rajasekhar. Sandhya, who is an active member of an NGO that works for the welfare of women, had made these allegations in a panel discussion conducted by a TV channel.
The latest controversies have affected the Telugu cinema industry seriously. Fearing that fresh allegations would be made by more actors in the coming days, all the film associations in Tollywood have convened emergency meetings to discuss further course of actions.
