Chanakyathanthram directed by Kannan Thamarakulam is slated to hit the theatres on April 25. Besides donning the role of a woman named Karishma, Unni Mukundan will also be seen in his usual stylish get-up in the movie. The actor reportedly plays a shrewd character who skilfully eliminates his opponents, like the wise Chanakyan in Indian history.
Actor–screenwriter Anoop Menon too plays a significant character in the movie along with Unni Mukundan.

The script of Chanakyathanthram is penned by Dinesh Pallathu who also wrote the script of Jayaram-starrer Aadupuliyattam. The music is composed by hitmaker Shaan Rahman. A song from the film sung by Unni Mukundan has already topped the charts.
