Bollywood actress Sridevi's untimely death came as a shock for all. While many expressed grief on social media, her husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi and Khushi never appeared before media although a few official statements were released.

Earlier, as Sridevi was posthumously bestowed with the Best Actress Award for her film 'Mom', Boney, Jhanvi and Khushi attended the 65th National Film Awards ceremony in Delhi to receive the honour on behalf of the late actress.

After the official ceremony, the trio interacted with the media for the first time. The video of the same has surfaced online which is going rounds on social platforms.

Getting emotional about Sridevi, Boney said, “We have been missing her since she left us. We wish she were here with us. She has been around for almost 50 years and done almost 300 films. Perhaps, it was not in her destiny to receive this award. Every second my kids are missing her. I miss her every second. I am doing my best to play the dual role of mom and father both.”

Talking about Jhanvi's debut in acting, Boney said, “I wish the people who supported my wife Sridevi will encourage my kids too whether it's Jhanvi, Khushi or my children Arjun or Anshula. We are all together."

Janhvi told the media, "I think Khushi and me would like to thank the jury for recognising the hard work, perseverance, and dedication that my mother has put into this role (in 'Mom'). It was very special to her and we are very happy that she is being appreciated for it".

By the end of the video, when a journalist asked whether she misses her mom, Janhvi said she doesn't want to talk about it.

Janhvi was spotted wearing Sridevi's favourite Kanjeevaram sari. The late actress had worn this sari at Tollywood star Ram Charan Teja's wedding in 2012.
