Puthan Panam movie A still from the movie

Without much hype, Puthan Panam, starring Mammootty in the lead hit the screens on Wednesday.

The film, directed by Ranjith is definitely high on expectations as it is said to be a different take on the director's 2011 National Award winning film Indian Rupee, which had Prithviraj in the lead role.

Ineya, Sheelu Abraham, Siddique, Sai Kumar, Renji Panicker, Harish Kanaran and Mamukoya are the other major casts in the movie. The film is produced by 3 Color Cinemas, a production house co-owned by Abraham Mathew along with director Ranjith and actor Arun Narayanan.
