If you prod memories a bit you might remember a song by a female child singer that had taken the Malayalam film world by storm.
The song 'Swapnam Thyajichal...' from Mammootty-starrer, Rakshasa Rajavu in 2001, was a blend of melody and melancholy. The song composed by Mohan Sithara was a big hit. However, the singer, Aswathy Vijayan, soon vanished from limelight to focus on her studies.
She is now back and her latest venture is a Hindi track. It's a slow romantic number accompanied by strings and pictured in the backdrop of lush locales.
The music is composed by Aswathy herself and the song is penned by Varsha Manoj. The director of the album is Arun V. Edathalaparamban.
Though she was away from the glitter of the film world she had not completely shut the world of music unto herself and was busy with devotional albums.
After completing her engineering studies, Ashwathy made a successful comeback with the hit song 'Aararo' in Jayaraj's Camel Safari.
