Even as teachers and students of the Indian School of Commerce (ISC) Cochin are basking in the glory of their 'Jimikki Kammal' dance video, which sent ripples through the social media, they are in the spotlight again in connection with the sensational video.
ISC at Infopark in Kochi is an initiative of a multinational entity, the International Skill Development Corporation (ISDC), registered in England and Wales. The institute has announced that the revenue that is expected to be generated from the video would be used for charity.
Venugopal V. Menon, director, ISDC, said the management had decided that the earnings from the video on YouTube would be used for charity. The dance was choreographed to the tune of the foot-tapping number in the recently released Malayalam film Velipadinte Pusthakam starring Mohanlal.
Though the film hadn't fared well at the box office, the song has crossed borders, thanks to the dance video from ISC. Sheril G. Kadavan and Anna George, the teachers at the ISC who choreographed the dance, have become celebrities overnight. The two, by now, have won a multitude of fans in South India. Sheril has even received an offer to act in a Tamil film.
