My life - through the lens

She doesn't remember at what age the bright light hit her eyes as she blinked. As she started walking she realized that light came from her dad’s hand. On her 5th birthday, her dad gifted her a Yashica camera, her first camera. She started capturing what her eyes loved. Incidentally, those pictures were loved by her father too. He printed some of those pictures and pasted them on a mini album so that after few years she could see her own talents alive. One day she tried to click pictures from her camera but it was impossible. Battery had drained and camera halted blinking, she was stopped from doing what she loved and slowly her passion started fading thereby giving her no hopes for the future.

After 10 years she got another birthday gift from dad. This time it was digital Fuji-film camera. Once again her camera clicked what her eyes captured. The pictures portrayed nature and human beings in a beautiful way. She copied all her captured pictures into her laptop. Call it bad luck or destiny, her laptop too crashed one day. She thought photography was not her path to success. She changed her path towards something else, which was her second dream.

As her photographs describe a story, her language too describes everything as a broadcaster. Journalism for her was an opportunity to do something different. She gradually started forgetting her innate talent. But again destiny played its role. She was praised for her camera work during one of the classes which instilled the faith in her. One of the faculty appreciated her skill in capturing photos, something that she had stopped dreaming about. But never the less his words made her rethink about photography. That’s not all, she also got the answer for the biggest question that she had in her mind for 20 years which is what is your innate talent. She always thought that she had no innate talent which discouraged her always.

But now she has the answer and it is 'Photography'. Now she is in the right place doing things that she always dreamt of. She strongly believes that nothing can wipe off her talent anymore, it is because she has started to establish herself in her stream. She can now prove the whole world what she is. She is happy in finding out her innate talent during her journey and hopes to follow the passion for the rest of the journey.
