Unleashing fascinating horizons of vision The blogger from Ernakulam is pursuing post graduation in Development Studies at Azim Premji University, Bangalore.

...because the most beautiful things in life are not seen, but experienced!

No one can drive home this vision better than O Aishwarya, a visually challenged Kochi youngster who offers a fascinating sneak peak into her world through the blog, 'Sight Unseen'. Articulate in thoughts and eloquent in words, 'Sight Unseen' opens up a slice of world that most of us have neither seen or experienced. Or even empathize about.

The blogger from Ernakulam is pursuing post graduation in Development Studies at Azim Premji University, Bengaluru.

'Sight Unseen' is all about the world of the blind and visually impaired, a realm that most people stumble upon at times without having a clear knowledge about it.

The blog is a response to the stereotypes the sighted people have about the blind. By normalizing and plucking out the stigma of disability in general and blindness in particular, 'Sight Unseen' aims to bridge the gap between the sighted and the visually impaired to make the world a more inclusive place for everyone.

"Through the highs and lows (and everything in between) of living as a blind girl in India, join me as I live my life sight unseen, battling the monsters of patriarchy and ableism," Sight Unseen proclaims.

The blog's content is also rich in variety with poems, myth-busting articles, responses to government initiatives, book reviews and much more lined up for the discerning reader.

Aishwarya did her under graduation in Economics from Sacred Heart College, Thevara. She spends most of her free time reading, writing, and crafting - origami and flower making. Using her words as a tool, Aishwarya intends to craft a better world, a world that accepts differently-abled people for who they are.

Her father, O R Ravi, is working in Honda and mother, Sujatha, is a homemaker. She has a brother, Vineeth.
