Panaji: Roopantharam, directed by M.B. Padmakumar and In return, just a book, a docu-fiction by Shiny Jacob Benjamin will do proud Malayalam filmdom in the ongoing 47th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) here Thursday.

Roopantharam, which has Kochupreman in the lead role, tells the story of a lottery vendor.

In return, just a book follows veteran writer Perumpadavam Sreedharan through the streets of Moscow which is the backdrop of his celebrated Malayalam novel “Oru Sankeerthanam pole”.

South Korean film Train to Busan, Spanish film The writer's burrow, Portugal film The death of Louis XIV etc are among the 44 films lined up for the day. Tamara, directed by Elia K. Schneider (Venezuela) will be screened as the mid-fest film. This Spanish film, which is about a man's desire to become the woman that he is, is likely to draw huge crowds.

Malayalam film Kuttysrank, directed by Shaji N. Karun will be screened as part of Women's Cut segment in honor of its cinematographer Anjuli Shukla.

Eminent stunt choreographer Peter Hein will lead a master class in his art. Hein's recent work in Malayalam Pulimurugan turned out to be a huge success with the film becoming the first in the language to enter Rs 100 crore club.
