Starry affair at Nehru Stadium Sachin Tendulkar, Internet sensation Priya Prakash Varrier and Malayalam film actor Jayasurya witnessed the ISL game between Kerala Blasters and Chennaiyin FC.

Kochi: It was a carnival-like atmosphere at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi for Kerala Blasters' crucial ISL game against Chennaiyin FC on Friday.

It was a star-studded affair as Blasters co-owner and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, Bollywood star and Chennaiyin co-owner Abhishek Bachchan, Malayalam film actor Jayasurya and Internet sensation Priya Prakash Varrier were present at the venue.

Jayasurya, who portrayed the role of former Indian football team captain V P Sathyan in his biopic 'Captain', made his entry into the ground ahead of the kick-off amid cheers by the spectators.

Priya Varrier, who shot to instant stardom with her wink in the teaser of Malayalam film 'Oru Adaar Love', watched the game along with her co-star Roshan Abdul Rahoof.

Tendulkar, who makes it a point to attend important fixtures of Blasters, egged the Yellow Brigade on from the sidelines.

In the end, the trio of Tendulkar, Jayasurya and Priya, as well as the crowd of 31,259, were a tad disappointed as Blasters were held to a goalless draw. The result came as a huge blow to Blasters' hopes of qualifying for the semifinals.
