Kochi: The Kochi Metro continued its goodness ride on Sunday by taking on board the numerous laborers, whose efforts saw Kerala's dream project become a reality in 45 months.

The bunch included migrant laborers, contract employees from Kerala and their family members. They enjoyed the ride from Palarivattom to Aluva. The authorities had also earlier treated the migrant workers to traditional sadya on a plantain leaf.

Kochi Metro began its operations by offering its first ride to people from the marginalized sections of society earlier on Sunday. Students from government-recognized institutions which operate within the Kochi corporation, Aluva municipality, Kalamassery municipality and Choornikkara panchayat enjoyed the free ride.

Kerala health minister K.K. Shailaja too joined them in their first ride over the city.
The regular services begin Monday.
