Sabarinadhan MLA, subcollector Divya Iyer
It is a holy union of bureaucracy and politics. Young legislator Sabarinadhan K.S. is all set to marry Thiruvananthapuram subcollector Divya S. Iyer.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, the Aruvikkara MLA announced that Divya would soon become his life partner. He also said that the young couple had the support of both families. He ended the Facebook post by seeking the blessings of all his well-wishers.
However, he did not divulge details including the wedding date.
Congress MLA Sabarinadhan took oath as MLA in 2015, becoming the youngest legislator of the then 140-member Kerala assembly during the previous Oommen Chandy regime.
The son of former Kerala speaker G. Karthikeyan, Sabarinadhan entered politics after his father's demise. He is an engineering graduate and an MBA degree holder.
Divya was the 48th rank holder in the all-India Civil Services Examination, 2013. A native of Thiruvananthapuram, Divya had completed MBBS degree from the Christian Medical College, Vellore.
The multi-talented Divya has also made her mark in a variety of art forms such as Kathakali, Odissi dance, classical music and mono act. She was a regular winner of the 'Kalathilakam' title in her school and college days.
Known also for her musical prowess, Divya is a darling of the media.
