Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government plans to go for a cloud seeding experiment to trigger rain in the wake of severe drought in the state, chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on Wednesday.
The Kerala State Electricity Board has been made the nodal agency for carrying out the program, he said in a written reply in the state assembly.
The Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment would extend technical support, he added.
Cloud seeding is the process of dropping crystals into clouds to artificially cause rain.
