What is Kavya Madhavan's role in actress attack case? Police scrambling for leads Kavya Madhavan

Kochi: A day after Kavya Madhavan was questioned in connection with the sensational actress attack case, the police team remain inconclusive about her involvement.

Kavya Madhavan was questioned by ADGP B. Sandhya at her house in Aluva Tuesday. However, the police reportedly did not get any crucial leads from her.

Earlier this month, her husband, actor Dileep, was arrested for hiring goons to abduct the young actress and videotape the harassment.

During the questioning session that went on for hours, the senior cop quizzed Kavya on the mobile phone used to shoot the assault and the memory card that purportedly contained the images and videos.

Earlier, the main accused in the case, Pulsar Suni, had told the cops that he had deposited the memory card at Laksyah, Kavya's boutique in Kakkanad. Though the police searched Kavya's shop, they were not able to retrieve the card. Kavya could be questioned again and sources said next time, she could be summoned to the Aluva police club, where her husband had undergone a marathon 13-hour grilling, days ahead of his arrest.

The young actress, who had also worked in Tamil and Telugu films, was waylaid and harassed in a moving car in Kochi on February 17.

The police arrested Pulsar Suni, who had worked as a driver of many film personalities, six days after the crime. A letter which Suni purportedly wrote to actor Dileep had caused a furore. The actor had the approached the police, saying that the prime accused tried to blackmail him from jail. Things went awry for Dileep after the police found discrepancies in his statements. The actor is currently under a police remand.
