The mysterious secret vaults of the Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple has hit the headlines again with members of the royal family saying that they will keep away from any effort towards opening the Vault 'B' of the temple.
Aswathy Thirunal Gaurilakshmibhai from the erstwhile Travancore royal family said that the family will not cooperate with the decision to open the vault 'B' even if the authorities or the temple priests decide in favor of it.
Earlier the royal family had expressly opposed opening the vault citing 'ritualistic restrictions' saying that the vault has never been opened before.
At the same time Gopal Subramaniam, the amicus curiae, said that he will discuss the matter with the royal family members. He is slated to meet the family members at the Kowdiar Palace Tuesday evening.
Gopal Subramaniam earlier held consultations with executive officer V Ratheesan, an IAS officer. They are known to have discussed matters relating to the ongoing temple procedures including the checks on the temple idols.
The royal family members had given their express opinion in the issue to the media without external consultations.
