Irshad, with his 70 percent of genitals cut, has been admitted to a private hospital in Valanchery. The youth even claimed that he himself cut off the genitals.
The couple took a room at the lodge Thursday morning and the youth was spotted by the lodge owner outside the room with blood-strewn clothes. The police got crucial information after the woman was taken into custody and questioned.

The couple had got married in the sly about six months ago. The youth then took off to the Gulf and his relatives fixed his alliance with another woman. The furious woman lover then called the youth to a lodge to wreak vengeance. She had come prepared with a knife, bought from a shop near Tirur railway station, to perform the act.
