A team of youngsters, Vishu, Anu Kalyani, Asif, Rajesh, Aakash and Ajin, have also volunteered to provide the 24-hour service.Konni: A youth is offering a free ambulance service during the ongoing Sabarimala pilgrim period, setting an example for others to follow.
The 24-hour service is being offered by Medicare Laboratories owner PV Vishnu from Parakyal in Ilamkollur.
Though demands for introducing an ambulance service at taluk headquarters during the pilgrimage season are raised it never get materialized. Lack of availability of ambulance and driver is the reason cited for this. Now, Vishnu has decided to provide service from Konni.
Where the service is available
The service is available for Sabarimala pilgrims arriving on Punalur-Muvattupuzha route from Kalanjur to Pathanamthitta, a 25 km stretch. Phone: 9846729418 and 0468 2247676
