Kochi: Actor Dileep, accused in the February 17 actress attack case, will seek a copy of the visuals of the attack. He will move court for this. Sources said the application would explicitly blame the cops for not providing him with the crucial piece of information which he, as an accused, is legally entitled to get.
As soon as the police submitted the charge sheet in court, Dileep had collected a copy.
In the latest move, Dileep wants a copy of all the evidence, including visuals of the attack that were obtained from prime accused Pulsar Suni. He will point out in court that it was his right to obtain a copy of all evidence before the case was heard by the court.
Dileep has been listed as the eighth accused in the charge sheet submitted by the police. Meanwhile, the Angamally magistrate court will deliver its verdict on Dileep's complaint regarding the charge sheet leak by the police on January 9.
On February 17 night in Kochi, an actress, who has also worked in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films, was abducted and assaulted inside her car for two hours. Dileep was arrested on July 10 for plotting the attack and hiring goons to assault the actress and videotape the crime.
