Pallickal native Rajesh, 37, was the victim. Thiruvananthapuram: A folk singer and former radio jockey was hacked to death at Madavoor, near Varkala, in the Kerala capital during the wee hours of Tuesday.

The duo, who had returned to their office after a music program, were attacked by a group of unidentified assailants. The motive behind the murder was not known. The Attingal police have begun a probe in to the incident.
