The injured were part of the 18-member crew rescued by INS Surat after the vessel caught fire off the coast between Beypore and Azhikkal ports.
There were 22 crew members on board the vessel. Five crew members have sustained injuries, and two have suffered severe burns.
The Singapore-flagged Chinese container ship, was approximately 70 nautical miles west of Beypore and 40 nautical miles west of Ezhimala in Kannur when the incident occurred.
