Priyanka Chopra, who is busy both in Bollywood and Hollywood, will be donning the role of P.T. Usha. This will be her second outing as a lead character in a biopic. She had earlier essayed the main role in the film based on boxing icon Mary Kom.
The film titled P.T. Usha will be directed by noted ad filmmaker Revathi Varma. A.R. Rahman will be composing the music for the film. Pegged at a budget of Rs 100 crore the movie will be bankrolled by Jayalal Menon under the banner of Backwater Studios.
The film is being scripted by Dr. Sajeesh Sargam, a native of Payyanur.
