The trailer of much-awaited Manju Warrier-starrer 'Aami' is here and it raises hopes of a neatly-crafted biopic of celebrated writer Madhavikutty, aka Kamala Surayya.
The trailer, filled with stunning visuals, features Manju in various looks of the writer. It also features crucial moments in the life of Madhavikutty and her transformation into Kamala Surayya after embracing Islam. It also offers glimpses of the characters played by Murali Gopy, Tovino Thomas and Anoop Menon.
Going by the trailer, the film seems to cover the eventful personal and literary life of the writer.
Aami is written and directed by Kamal. The film had courted some controversy after Vidya Balan opted out of playing the title character.
