When the genie was not ready to grant Mammootty's wish to learn dance It was a grandiose entry of Mammootty as his first wish to the 'genie' Mohanlal was to teach him how to dance.

It was a spectacle of a lifetime for thousands of movie enthusiasts who gathered to witness the 'AMMA Mazhavil' mega show held at the Karyavattom sports hub in Thiruvanathapuram on Sunday evening. Both new-gen artistes and veterans who have left a mark in the world of Malayalam cinema made the show a grand spectator for the audience. The show was marked by electrifying performances by an ensemble cast that was a mix of both senior actors and youth idols.

Mohanlal

The sea of spectators broke into a frenzy with the entry of youth icon Dulquer Salmaan as 'Aladin' and megastar Mohanlal as the 'genie'. Their performance was greeted with deafening applause and cheers. Megastar Mammootty appeared on the stage towards the middle of the event.

It was a grandiose entry as Mammootty expressed his first wish to the genie to teach him how to dance. Mohanlal's reply was 'apart from dancing skills any other wish could be fulfilled.' However, when others actors came to Mammootty's rescue and started teaching him dance the viewers broke into delirious guffaws.

Actor-singer Vineeth Sreenivasan mesmerised the audience with his superhit songs like 'Anuragathin Velayil' to those from 'Naran'. Then followed a scintillating performance by actor-singer Ramya Nambisan as hit Tamil songs were played along.

Mohanlal

The most-awaited part of the show was the dance performance by Mohanlal along with Mollywood damsels Namitha Pramod and Shamna Kasim. The show was also interspersed with comedy skits by prominent performers in Malayalam.
