Kochi: Crowd-favorites Brazil will play Honduras in their pre-quarterfinals of the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Kochi on Wednesday.

Brazil outplayed Niger 2-0 in their final Group D game in Goa to top the group and set up a last-16 encounter with the Central American challengers who finished third in Group E.

The match will kick off at 8 pm.

The Samba Boys have struck a chord with the spectators of Kochi and Brazilian coach Carlos Amadeu has said that they felt like playing at home.

Brazilian forwards Lincoln and Paulinho have been a big hit with the Kochi fans.

The Group D opener between the South American giants and Spain drew the biggest crowd in Kochi, with 21,362 witnessing the game.

The Brazil-North Korea tie was watched by 15,314.

The organizers are expecting a packed house for Brazil's knockout game to be played on Diwali day.
